ARE YOU PREPARED FOR YOUR DEATH?

Have you thought about this?

Are you ready to die?

Not just have you written a will and proceeded with a Swedish Death Clearing…

but have you thought about where you will go?

Heaven?

Hell?

Nowhere?

WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO WHEN YOU DIE?

‘FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE’.

JOHN 3:16

If the answer is nowhere or Hell… this blog is not for you.

f the answer is Heaven… have you prepared for that?

GETTING READY FOR HEAVEN

What do you think heaven will be like? I imagine it to be like earth… just without the people I don’t like. They will be there of course (at least some of them) it’s just I won’t dislike them anymore.

How cool is that?

To only feel love.

To only express love and to endlessly receive love.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR ETERNAL LIFE?

Here are a few options:

  1. Just hope for the best… God is forgiving after all.
  2. Live in terror of God’s retribution… you know Jesus died to save you but you are not good enough.
  3. Avoid thinking about eternal life… death comes first and that is too hard to face.
  4. Live every day as if you are preparing to meet God.

HEAVEN ON EARTH

I choose option 4.

How do you put that into practice?

What about thinking of life as “golden time”?

Small children at school love “golden time”.

It is usually an hour in the afternoon where they are given free time to just play as they choose.

Such freedom.

Such fun.

Such exuberance and excitement.

What if the whole of your life was “golden time”?

Carve out the life you want.

Thanking and praising God as you go of course.

You can then create heaven on earth.

If you regard every second and every experience as a gift from God… then it truly is ‘golden time”.

CREATING HEAVEN ON EARTH

How is it possible to thank God for the death of someone you love?

Thank God for the time he gave you together.

What about thanking God for ill health?

How about thanking him for the air that you breath and the fact you are still alive?

How we are to thank God for people who cause us harm?

This is a tough one.

Maybe thank God for the opportunity to learn, to appreciate the decent people in your life, to be the stronger person you are because of that pain.

BUT, AS IT IS WRITTEN, “WHAT NO EYE HAS SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NOR THE HEART OF MAN IMAGINED, WHAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:9

So if you regard every minute as a precious gift from God… then you need to make the most of it. How to do that is the subject of another post but creating heaven on earth means living through love not fear.. trust in God.

DEAR GOD OUR FATHER WE THANK YOU FOR THIS PRECIOUS GIFT OF LIFE ADN FOR YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST WHO DIED TO SAVE US FROM OUR SIN. HELP US TO LIVE EACH DAY FOLLOWING YOUR WILL. IN JESUS NAME WE PRAY. AMEN
