Sometimes life is tricky.

Sometimes life is hard.

Sometimes life is unbearable.

Sometimes awful people who wish you harm just won't leave you alone.

When you divorce someone, it is normal to expect your ex to move on and leave you alone. But some individuals are evil and obsessive.

Some people spend their lives in a vendetta trying to ruin their ex's life.

Some people kill their ex... 3 woman a week in United Kingdom are killed by their partner or ex partner.

Where is GOD at these moments?

I cannot bear to watch Les Miserables because the part played by Anne Hathaway, Fantine, is too tragic.

Where is GOD?

Why does he let awful things happen to us?

Why?

Why GOD?

Why?

David oft times laments to GOD...

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?

3Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.

But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.

PSALM 13

In the end, our quest for answers is fruitless.

We cannot know why bad things happen to good people. Scholars, theologists, philosophers, and atheists all arrive at different answers.

What does GOD say?

1He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

PSALM 46:10

Have you tried that?

Stop questioning.

Stop doubting.

Stop being angry with GOD.

Stop blaming GOD.

Just stop.

And be still.

And know your heavenly father is with you.

Take comfort in his faithfulness.

Take comfort in his assuredness.

Have faith in GOD and his majesty.

So where is GOD at these moments?

With us.

Loving us.

Comforting us.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

MATTHEW 5:3-12

Let us pray:

HOLY FATHER, GOD IN HEAVEN, WE TURN TO YOU WHEN THINGS ARE GOING WRONG AND WE PRAY.  LORD RESCUE US.  LORD GOD PROTECT US.  GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION.  REDEEM US FATHER FROM ALL WHO WISH US HARM.  LIKE DAVID LORD, PROTECT US FROM OUR ENEMIES.  LORD JESUS CHRIST COMFORT US IN OUR GRIEF AND BEREAVEMENT. IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE PRAY. AMEN.
